Kia just revealed the new EV5 SUV at the Chengdu motor show in China! While it’ll be hitting Chinese markets later this year, the rest of the world will have to wait until 2024.

Technical Specifications
The upcoming Kia EV5 still has some secrets to unveil, including its technical specifications. However, recent news from the Korean Car Blog reveals that Chinese models will run on a lithium-iron-phosphate battery, while other countries will have a nickel-manganese-cobalt one.
The price of the standard range will start at 50 million won (AU$59,000), while the long-range version will cost 57 million won (AU$67,000) and can travel up to 600km on a single charge. Exciting details are starting to unfold!
Kia’s new electric car, the EV5, is like a mini version of their upcoming EV9 in Australia. It has a sleek design, including a “digital tiger nose” and a “signature star map” front end. The side profile looks similar, with “pushed-back” D-pillars to help with visibility.
However, the back looks different, with a full-width light strip connecting the tail-lights. You can choose from nine glossy colours and one matte colour, like magma red and tide blue.
