A spicy new Chinese car brand, Polestones Automobile, just unveiled their first model – the Polestones 01. But wait, aren’t you getting some serious Polestar vibes? Confusing, right?
Here’s the kicker: the Polestones 01’s design is totally unoriginal. It’s heavily “inspired” by other models, namely the Land Rover Defender and Lexus GX. Even more peculiar, it was created by the Pininfarina Shanghai Team who’s known for building beautiful cars. So, why borrow so heavily from other brands?
The Polestones may have a mysterious background, but their insides are top-notch! They can seat seven people with ease or spoil six lucky riders with fancy, airplane-like chairs. Those in the back can sit back, enjoy a movie on the roof display, and chillax. Plus, there’s a camera mirror so drivers won’t have to worry about backing up blind.
The new Polestones 01 has got some seriously cool features that will blow your mind! If you go for the six-seater option, you’ll be in for a treat with heating, ventilation, and massage capabilities for both the front and rear seats!
And let’s talk tech: there’s a massive touchscreen that controls the air vents and an air purification system that can even release negative ions!
But what’s under the hood, you ask? The Polestones 01 runs on a super efficient range-extending power generation system that uses a tiny 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine to generate power for the CATL battery pack. The engine won’t actually drive the wheels, but it sure packs a punch when it comes to keeping you on the road.
This car has two powerful motors that together make 470 horses! It can go 146 miles on electricity alone before the gas engine starts up and gives it another 546 miles! These amazing numbers were proven on a tough test in China, so it’s even better than the ones we use in America.
This car comes with a kitchen in the trunk! How amazing is that? Its rear door swings open and flaunts a restaurant-like set up complete with an induction cooker, water dispenser, and storage for your food, with ample workspace for cooking! And, that’s not all! Camping just got cooler with a 270-degree canopy that sets up in 5 minutes. But wait, it gets even better for the 7-seater model. The second and third rows fold up and transform into a King-size bed
Polestones 01 is coming soon, but only for non-US countries. The seven-seat version costs around $48,420 and the six-seater around $49,680. The car is packed with features, but with a new brand and untested quality, we advise caution. VinFast is the latest newcomer to the US market, but its poor product quality has left it struggling to make sales.
