Mini is revealing two new electric cars at the IAA Mobility Show from September 5 to 10.The 2025 Cooper Hardtop and Countryman are going green and you won’t want to miss the big reveal happening September 1 at 5 AM Eastern time.
The teaser images are shadowy, but they’re enough to make our hearts race. While we already knew about the electric Hardtop, the electric Countryman is a mystery that’s about to be solved. And hey, we might even see a new all-electric crossover called the Aceman. The Countryman might have some combustion and hybrid versions too, but for now, let’s just bask in the excitement of the electric versions.
The two-door version will be electric while the four-door version will have a regular engine (but we won’t see that one right away).
The new electric Mini Cooper is going to be even better than the current one, with more power and a longer range of up to 240 miles!
It’s made with a cool Spotlight EV platform co-developed with Great Wall Motors from China, so you know it’s gonna be good. And there’s gonna be a fancy electric John Cooper Works version too, which could have up to 250 horsepower (but that’s not confirmed yet).
Mini’s new electric Cooper will feature a design that honours its 1959 original and promises to retain the brand’s renowned sporty feel. Plus, the Countryman SE ALL4 will be Mini’s first all-electric, all-wheel drive model with an impressive 308 hp peak output and a range of 280 miles from a 64.7 kWh battery. Even the base model, the Countryman E, packs a punch with 188 hp from a single motor. And while the new Countryman may be slightly larger, it still leaves space for the upcoming Aceman model to shine.
