Lincoln is finally jumping on the electric vehicle trend!
In 2025, they’ll be releasing a brand new electric SUV with room for everyone. The car is set to be produced in Canada alongside a Ford version, and may even look like their stylish Star concept car. As part of this change, gasoline versions of the Corsair and Aviator will be discontinued.
The Aviator, the fancy SUV that nobody talks about, is getting a new makeover in 2024 to keep up with its rivals and boost sales. Sadly, it’ll only stick around for two more years before its electric replacement arrives.
But, good news! The Corsair, Lincoln’s small SUV, just got an upgrade for 2023. It now has semi-self-driving features, but unfortunately, this will be the last gas-powered Corsair offered in the US. Production will stop in 2025, but don’t worry, Lincoln plans to replace it with a snazzy all-electric model soon.
Sporting a fierce new exterior design and a deluxe interior, the Nautilus ditches its old V6 engines and now runs on four-cylinder models, providing a more cost-effective ride. You’ve got two options here: a base turbocharged 2.0-liter engine with 250 horsepower and 275 lb-ft torque or a hybrid version with 310 horsepower.
But wait, there’s more! Lincoln is also bringing the Nautilus to the States after building it in China for the first time ever. Meanwhile, its flagship SUV, the Navigator, will be given a facelift in early 2024 to keep up with the Cadillac Escalade. But with no plans yet for an electric version, we can’t help but wonder if they’re missing out on the Escalade IQ trend.
