With just under 20 units made, each car is built to perfection, including the sleek Runge RS! It’s not your average American muscle car with a massive horsepower. Rather, it’s a tamer vehicle, equipped with an all-aluminum body similar to the flashy Dodge Viper.
What makes the Runge RS stand out is its design which echoes the race cars of the late ’50s. After 2,500 hours of work, Chris Runge has created a car that will turn heads!
Its silhouette looks similar to the classic Porsche 718 race car, which debuted at the 1957 24 Hours of Le Mans. Plus, the Runge RS is much lighter than the popular Mazda Miata. Be sure to watch out for the Runge RS making its debut on the streets soon!
There are hardly any Porsche 718 RSK cars left and one of them belongs to Jerry Seinfeld. But hold on to your seats because the Runge RS is a newer model that packs a punch!
Instead of Seinfeld’s version, the Runge RS boasts a powerful mid-mounted 1.7-liter four-cylinder engine from a Porsche 912, which produces 100 to 110 horsepower. It also weighs just 1,240 lbs, half the weight of a Mazda Miata, thanks to its all-aluminum body.
It comes with a Getrag 4-speed “Longbox” transmission and top-of-the-line Porsche 956B modified brakes for an exceptional ride.
Runge Cars have outdone themselves with the Runge RS! Not only is the bodywork handmade, but the fuel tank and chassis too – all stamped with a VIN. With only 14 cars under their belt, Runge Cars are a rare breed. This Runge RS is number 6 in their collection.
Get ready to roll on the 15 inch, polished aluminium, 5×205 bolt pattern forged wheels. The handmade seats add a personalized touch. But that’s not all – check out the dashboard with TWO Tag Heuer clocks to keep track of lap times.
